The jazz station WBGO has an exclusive premiere of a track from Mareike Wiening as part of their new release feature, ‘Take Five.’

The track is “An Idea Is Unpredictable,” from the new album Future Memories, which releases on Friday.

Nate Chinen has this to say about the track: “this music suggests a view on the New York jazz scene with a faint European spin; this composition, “An Idea is Unpredictable,” even has trasatlanticism built into the framework, in its toggling between one idea and the next.”
