Kenny Wheeler Legacy: Some Days Are Better press roundup

It’s only been a few weeks since we released Some Days Are Better: The Lost Scores, the Kenny Wheeler Legacy album featuring a fresh recording of the late composer and musician’s work. This album was recorded in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Music Jazz Orchestra and Frost Jazz Orchestra, and produced by Nick Smart (RAM) and John Daversa (Frost).

The release coincides with the publication of Wheeler’s highly anticipated biography, Song For Someone: The Musical Life of Kenny Wheeler (Equinox Publishing), which delves into an undiscovered treasure trove of rarely-heard works from a critical, largely unknown period in his musical journey.

The album has already garnered plenty of attention. Here are some select quotes from its features and reviews, along with links for further reading. Stay tuned for part 2 soon! In the meantime, check out the album now available at the Greenleaf store, as well as on streaming platforms.
