We Appreciate You

Just a quick note to say thank you. Thank you for enjoying the music. Thank you for sticking with us as we forge this new model for creative music. Thanks for being the reason we are able to keep doing it. We appreciate your participating and getting the music.

For subscribers to Greenleaf Music, last week we recorded my new project, Marching Music. It’s about marching in all the ways we need to now. Climate strikes. Racial, gender and economic equality. Voting rights. Education. Health care. Arts and humanities. Science. Journalism. Love. And most of all — marching to the voting booths to make our voices heard. You can consider this music to listen to while you do all those things.

We sincerely hope you will join us and subscribe to get all this music and access.

The new band features myself on trumpet, Rafiq Bhatia on guitar, Melvin Gibbs on bass, and Sim Cain on drums. It has been an exciting process developing the music.

This project is funded by the support of our subscribers. It will be released in its entirety by the end of January (not month by month), on our exclusive subscription feed. Please consider, if you know someone who would want to be a part of this, spread the word and let them know how to join up.

In the year of ENGAGE and Devotion — and coming upon our 15th anniversary, I am determined to continue writing, playing and spreading the music. I am heartened by the support of all of our listeners. Thank you.

Dave

ps. Greg Ward’s Stomping Off From Greenwood, Mareike Wiening’s Metropolis Paradise, and Ryan Keberle’s The Hope I Hold are a few of the recent recordings at Greenleaf Music. Hope you will enjoy them all. Thanks!
