A note on this month’s track from Dave:

This is a wild one. All three of us really dig in here. Can’t wait to open this one up on our tour dates in Europe in November. Also, did we mention we’ve decided to make a physical CD of this one project? Bringing back the Paperback Series, New Sanctuary Trio will be available soon. I’ll also be presenting an expanded version of the project at Lincoln Center in March 2017.

On Ottobre, I am playing with the infamous aluminum foil mute, a relative newcomer for me. It’s basically a piece of Reynold’s contorted into various shapes over the bell of the trumpet. Gives it that buzzy sound that matched the distorted guitar of Ribot. Join us as subscriber to hear it (and all the other pieces) now. Enjoy.
