ANFTD #83: Riley Mulherkar

In preparation for the Festival of New Trumpet Music (Sept 8-17, 7pm, online, free), Dave sits down with trumpeter and composer Riley Mulherkar. Riley is a member of the chamber brass quartet The Westerlies, who will premiere a new piece ‘For Rosa’ by the composer Mason Bynes on September 11. They talk about the rest of the fest, including an award celebration of Baikida Carroll and an evening celebrating and remembering Dave and Riley’s teacher, Laurie Frink. And listen to Riley’s extraordinary compositions for The Westerlies and other groups. Thanks for tuning in.
