ANFTD #55: Linda Briceño

Linda Briceño – Ella Bric

Dave talks to Linda Briceño — also known as Ella Bric — trumpeter, songwriter, singer and producer. In 2014, Linda’s first album, Tiempo, was nominated for two Latin Grammys, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Traditional Album. In her latest work, Linda premieres a video series named “Ella Bric” where she seeks to tell her experience as an immigrant and activist through the creation of a character where she fuses for the first time her music, film, storytelling and other forms of artistic expression, with the aim of confronting issues of social interest such as inequality, poverty and the environmental and political crisis in Latin American countries.

Linda and Dave talk about El Sistema, the music education system devised in Venezuela, being a trumpeter, producing and arranging, and Linda’s role as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
