With Thanks & Holiday Wishes
2025 marks 20 years of Greenleaf Music. From Mountain Passages to the Alloy projects, it has been two decades of sustainable, energizing creativity and an incredible journey we’ve shared with all of you.
Following the release of Alloy in September and Alloy: Extras on November 1, we’re excited to share that my new album, Four Freedoms, is on the way this January. Stay tuned!
It hasn’t always been easy. The way we document and distribute jazz and new music has evolved many times over these twenty years. From our Next Day Download series in 2006, to the Greenleaf Portable Series, the Paperback Series, and our annual subscriber exclusives, we’ve stayed mobile, adaptable, and true to our mission. Being small has allowed us to keep moving.

Now, with over 100 releases, we’re proud to have supported a wide range of remarkable artists, and we continue to grow. If you’ve seen Mareike Wiening on stage, caught Kazemde George in concert, or followed the work of Julieta Eugenio, you’ve witnessed the energy and momentum of today’s new music. Kaisa’s Machine returned with a second release, we welcomed trumpeter Michael Sarian, and continued sharing the music of Christian Dillingham. We’re also excited to announce the addition of Aubrey Johnson. The year was capped by a GRAMMY nomination for The Kenny Wheeler Legacy.
We couldn’t be more grateful to our subscribers and to the incredible Greenleaf Music team, who make it all possible. Over the years, you’ve corresponded with many of them, and each one plays a vital role in keeping this label running with heart and purpose. If you have a moment, send them a good word, they deserve it.
Subscriptions are stronger than ever. We depend on listener support to continue what we do: the Podcasts, Sheet Music Library, news and tour updates, Zoom meetups, and free concert tickets. We’re honored to provide these resources and more.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to twenty years of Greenleaf Music and to the creative spirit that keeps us moving forward.
– Dave
