Thanks to friends in Essen and Antwerp for a great start to this Dave Douglas 3 tour. MusikFabrik did a splendid job with three chamber pieces on Tuesday night.

It was the first time I had heard the sextet performed, a very special night for me.

Wednesday at DeSingel in Antwerp — great to be back and we really felt the warm welcome. Mark Feldman, Scott Colley and I will continue to play new music and arrangements for the next few weeks in Europe. We are having a lot of fun exploring the intimate format of this trio.
