There’s a great article in today’s Times reinforcing the importance and impact of slain Algerian singer Lounes Matoub. Certainly puts our own culture wars in perspective.

This reminded me of playing Louis Sclavis’ Hommage a few years back. Louis since recorded it on a great ECM album.
