Greenleaf News

Our blog has been a little slow lately, but not because things haven’t been happening, I can assure you. The new year is bringing many changes. Most notably, our partnership with Premonition Records has amicably come to an end. Because of this separation, we will be opening a new webstore housed right here at greenleafmusic.com. We couldn’t be more excited about it either as we will have more control over our products and the formats we offer.

Speaking of, one of the questions that we have posed to ourselves is what kind of lossless format to offer. The choices are between FLAC files and WAV files. I would like to ask this question to you, our customers. Please email your preference to help@greenleafmusic.com.

But what is a store without great new products, right? Well, besides the incredible albums we already have in our catalog (we like patting ourselves on the back sometimes), we have an exciting year planned. As a follow-up to Moonshine–which will be released in stores very soon–a download-only Dave Douglas & Keystone project similar to our acclaimed DDQ: Live at the Jazz Standard project. This time, Dave’s Keystone band will fill the Jazz Standard stage for 4 nights. And we will of course bring you those sets less than 24 hours after the final note played.

Another project that we have on the agenda comes from a new artist named Michael Bates. We heard the demo session and were sold. The recording starts this coming week. More info to come soon…

Also, keep your eye out for new Greenleaf Merch like T-Shirts, Bags, Hats, and the like. It’s all to help spread the word.

Dave has been, as per usual, extremely busy playing with a multitude of groups. He has been rehearsing extensively with the SF Collective and will be appearing with them throughout February and March. Check out Dave’s site for more details.

What’s our new years resolution you ask? Simply said: keep on keeping on.
