When we’ve seen illegal rips offered around the web, our reaction has generally been to say “we’re happy you like the music and hope you’ll check out our artist-owned-and-operated site where you can buy the music and support the creators.” OK, maybe not in so many words… But I thought this list of free download sites was interesting both in the range of sounds and the admirable and enthusiastic emphasis on what this is really all about: music.
