NY Senate Honors Dave Douglas

In a meaningful moment of recognition, Dave Douglas was recently honored alongside fellow trumpeters Ted Daniel and Ingrid Jensen during a Jazz Appreciation Month event at the Croton Free Library. Hosted by New York State Senator Pete Harckham, the gathering celebrated the contributions these three artists have made to the world of jazz both locally and globally.

Each artist received a Senate Proclamation recognizing their outstanding contributions as performers, composers, and educators. “I am privileged to honor these three local jazz artists, known around the world, for their incredible contributions to our culture,” said Senator Harckham. “Their many accomplishments as musicians, composers, and educators have benefited us all over the years. Our communities are that much richer for having these artists among us.”

Big thanks to the Croton Free Library for hosting and to the River Journal for the lovely write-up. You can read the full article here.
