Dave Douglas GIFTS release third single “third dream”

Today we release the third and final single from the forthcoming Dave Douglas album GIFTS, appropriately titled “Third Dream.”
“This song is autobiographical. I thought this happened for everybody, until I started telling people playing the tune about its origins. Basically the third dream of the night, for me, is usually one in which all anxiety and perturbations are settled. It’s peaceful and flowing. This tune represents that Third Dream.”
GIFTS is the first new album from Dave Douglas in almost 2 years. Recorded at the end of 2023 in Brooklyn NY, the album features drummer Ian Chang, Rafiq Bhatia on guitar and saxophonist James Brandon Lewis.
