Keystone comes from Pennsylvania
Named for the film studio that made films of Fatty Arbuckle and other silent film stars.

It comes from his desire to score a soundtrack similar to that from early film, which has a technical innocence and sense of discovery due to the newness of the medium, particularly early comedies made by Roscoe Arbuckle for Keystone.
